St Kilda: Living on the Edge displays Jack’s imaginings of St Kildan life inspired by books and photographs he has studied over the years. Jack attempts to capture the wilderness and beauty of the accounts he has read about the island -
“I wanted the artwork to have a timeless feel to it, almost as if it could have been created by an inhabitant of St Kilda 100 years or more ago”
The exhibition consists of a mix of egg tempera paintings and etchings and will be on display at Shipping Brow Gallery, Maryport, CA15 6AB from the 11th March - 4th April 2026. Shipping Brow is open Wednesday - Sunday 11:00am - 4:00pm.
