Book Block Printing on Friday 10th April 10-11:30
Book Block Printing on Saturday 11th April 10-11:30
Join Emily from Market Place Print Studio to play and experiment with a range of hand carved printing stamps. Animal, plant and shape blocks can be printed to create your own unique designs and repeat patterns. In this family-friendly workshop you will learn how to apply ink to the print blocks, how to make vibrant prints and how different types of blocks can produce an array of patterns or imaginative scenes.
We will provide materials with plenty of paper to print your own artworks and posters, card stock to print your own greeting cards and fabric scraps to make sew-on patches. We encourage you to bring your own items to print onto too. Some ideas include:
T-shirts or jeans that could do with a revamp
Notebooks, scrapbooks, sketchbooks with blank covers
Any cotton items of clothing with flat, blank surface areas
Fabric scraps to make sew on patches or bows
Paper scraps to use as wrapping paper, gift tags or for scrapbooking
Blank tote bags or tea towels
Any small homewares that could do with up-cycling such as blank pillow cases, napkins, tea towels, cloths etc
(Please don’t bring anything too big as we will be sharing a table with lots of other projects!)
