£95.00

Full day course, Saturday 5th September 10:00-16:00, £95, Suitable for all levels

Book all 4 spaces to get 20% off with code 4TOGETHERDAY

During this full day workshop you will learn the process of block printing including how to design and carve your own blocks, how to create effective repeat patterns and how to ink up the blocks and print onto fabric.

During the second half of the day we will make your unique block printed fabrics into a lampshade for you to take home.

All materials included (except lampshade base and wiring)

What to bring with you

  • Clothes you don’t mind getting ink on. Although we will be using water based inks and we have aprons, it’s best to wear clothes that are not precious.

  • Ideas - Please bring with you an image or art work you would like to use as inspiration or to transfer to your block. If you don’t bring an idea or inspiration for your print don’t worry because we have lots of inspirational books and ideas we use as tools for developing an image. But as we have a lot to fit in on the day, it can help to bring along a pre conceived image to make into a print.

  • Packed lunch - Tea and coffee is provided. Bring your own packed lunch or eat at one of the independent local cafes and bakeries.

What you’ll leave with at the end of the day

Your own lampshade

Your carved block printing stamp
