Solstice Special: Landscape Monoprinting, 22nd June 2024

£75.00
sold out

Full day course, Saturday 22nd June 10:00 - 16:00, £75, All levels

During this Solstice Special workshop we will embrace the longest day by venturing out into our surrounding landscape to draw and be in the elements. We will then return to the studio and explore creating a monoprint from drawings and atmospheres gleaned from our walk.

A monoprint is produced by painting an image onto a sheet of metal or plastic with printing ink, then placing paper on top and lifting it off again to reveal a one-off print like the flowers in our pictures here.

Monoprinting is a freeing technique and is a great way to achieve a painterly, accomplished image without getting bogged down or intimidated by using paints like oils.

All materials will be provided.

We will print using the press.
