Print Club - 14th November
Evening Course, Thursday 14th November, 18:00-20:30, £20, Intermediate/Advanced
Please note for this session we can only accommodate Lino printing on the press. Feel free to join if your working in another medium and don’t need the press.
Print Club is every 3rd Thursday of the month. These social evening sessions are for those wanting to develop their printing practice in a community of artists. The session is self-directed but Jack or Emily will be on hand to facilitate use of equipment and provide guidance. We also hope that participants will learn from each other.
What to bring with you
Materials- We have paper available at the studio which you can buy but you can also bring your own. Bring inks that you'd like to use too. If you use the studio inks, we ask for a donation based on what you use. Lino blocks, woodblocks, metal plates must all be bought with you. A lot of print making material is available at Cockermouth Arts and Craft Shop.
Clothes that you don’t mind getting ink on. Although we will be using water based inks and we have aprons, it’s best to wear clothes that are not precious.
Ideas - We have plenty of books but you might like to bring some inspiration with you in the form of sketches, reference imagery, favourite poster or perhaps a reflection on what peace means to you.
Snacks + drinks - Feel free to bring snacks and drinks with you.
Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your booking more than 3 weeks in advance we will provide a refund but it would be much better for our small business if you transfer your booking or accept a credit note. To cancel or transfer please email us at marketplaceprintstudio@gmail.com.
If you need to cancel your booking less that 3 weeks in advance we can only refund or transfer your booking in extenuating circumstances. Email us at marketplaceprintstudio@gmail.com to have a discussion about cancelling due to changes of plan out of your control.
If you let us know the day before or on the day of your booking that you can’t make it due to sickness or unexpected circumstances we can provide a credit note only or someone else can come in your place. Just drop us an email to let us know so we can update the booking information.
We reserve the right to cancel or postpone a workshop. If we do this we will try and give a weeks notice and will provide a full refund if you cannot attend the new dates.
Please note: The print studio has limited access and etching involves using hazardous chemicals. The print room environment is not suitable for everyone. Etching classes are unsuitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women, those sensitive to chemicals or with breathing difficulties. Contact us if you need more information about the chemicals we use as part of the printing process.
