Autumn Tasters: Intaglio printing, Evening course, 18th September 2024

£35.00

Evening Course, Wednesday 18th September, 18:00-20:30, £35 each or £95 for all three, All levels

For participants to gain a basic understanding and practical knowledge of how to design, carve and print an image using intaglio techniques such as dry point.

Intaglio printing is the opposite of Relief printing (such as lino or potatoe printing). In relief printing the raised surface gets printed (think potatoe print). But, with Intaglio the ink is inside the grooves of the plate which you create by drawing into the plate. Those inky grooves are printed as opposed to the raised surface. Confused? Turn your confusion into curiosity and come along!

This course can be booked individually or as part of the full Autumn Tasters Series. On the 11th September we will be printing from Lino and on the 25th September we will explore Collographs. Each class is £35 each or £95 for all three. Book all three classes here.
