Block Print a Tote Bag - 24th July 2025

We will use the technique of Block Printing using pre-carved lino and rubber stamps to print our own tote bag on organic cotton. You will learn how to print onto fabric and to take in to consideration ink consistency, shape design and effective pattern making.
Please note: We will not be designing and carving our own blocks in this session. You will use pre-caved blocks to decorate your tote bag. Please book one of our half or full day block printing workshops to learn how to carve a block.
We will provide the organic tote bags and all other printing materials
What to bring with you
Clothes you don’t mind getting ink on. Although we will be using water based inks and we have aprons, it’s best to wear clothes that are not precious.
BYOB and snacks - Tea and coffee is provided.
What you’ll leave with at the end of the day
An organic cotton tote bag printed by you
Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your booking we will provide a credit note. To cancel please email us at marketplaceprintstudio@gmail.com.
We reserve the right to cancel or postpone a workshop. This will occasionally happen if we don’t have enough bookings to run the workshop or in extenuating circumstances. If we do this we will try and give as much notice as possible and will provide a full refund if you cannot attend the new dates.
Please note: The print studio has limited access and etching involves using hazardous chemicals. The print room environment is not suitable for everyone. Etching classes are unsuitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women, those sensitive to chemicals or with breathing difficulties. Contact us if you need more information about the chemicals we use as part of the printing process.
