Jack has worked as a printmaker for many years, focusing primarily on copper plate etching. Having first discovered etching while studying sculpture at Camberwell College of Art, Jack has since developed a large portfolio of works and set up his own print studio.

“I enjoy how the images drift in and out of existence throughout the process of etching; from person to paper to plate to print. Along this process the image evolves as accidents, mistakes and new ideas occur taking the image in new directions. Taking time to draw and the process of etching allows space for development”

Alongside this inky practice, Jack also works in the medium of egg tempera painted on gessoed boards.

"Frog God" Etching with Aquatint printed August 2024. £175 Edition of 13. I will be donating the money from the frist sale to @medicalaidpal in collaboration with @print_ifada This work is about change, transformation, loss and renewal. Also about this wet summer, I hope the frog gods have been satisfied. I want to support medical aid for Palestinians as a way for showing solidarity with the horrendous violence inflicted against the Palestinian people, with weapons sold by the Uk and policical support for their occupation from our leaders.
